In a pivotal milestone for the Teach For Uganda Alumni Movement, the alumni community came together to elect a new leadership team, ushering in a fresh era of collaboration, innovation and systemic change within Uganda’s education space. This historic moment marked a smooth transition in leadership and the power of the alumni network to drive long-term educational equity.
A Movement Rooted in Purpose
Since its inception, Teach For Uganda has empowered exceptional young leaders through a rigorous Fellowship program, placing them in high-need schools to work towards transformational outcomes for learners. Upon completing the Fellowship, these changemakers become alumni committed to carrying forward the mission of equity and access across the broader education ecosystem.
The TFU alumni have since stepped boldly into roles as:
- Education leaders influencing schools, districts, and learning institutions
- Social entrepreneurs tackling gaps in access and opportunity
- Policy influencers shaping education reform from the grassroots up
To harness this growing network's collective potential, the Teach For Uganda Alumni platform has focused on expanding training, sharing opportunities and convening events that support their journey beyond the classroom.
